About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position based from Kalyra’s Christies Beach office, working predominantly across the southern region with occasional travel to other Kalyra locations as required. Key Responsibilities:
Client centred focus, adaptability, respecting diversity, innovative thinking with a solution focussed approach to support client choice, respecting the individual meaning of quality of life for clients to meet their preferences whilst improving care and service delivery outcomes.
Acting to identify risk, implement mitigating strategies, escalate when appropriate and uses a high level of oversight to drive any required program wide continuous improvements.
Provides support to the Registered Nurse in all clinical matters, maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient information systems ensuring the data is accurate and completed with a high standard.
Provides wound care and management in the Help at Home program, to ensure of early recognition of risk, prevention and skin integrity promotion for clients, under supervision by the Registered Nurse.
Uses critical thinking to analyse high impact high prevalence risk, reports to and liaises with the Registered Nurse to implement mitigating strategies.
Maintains own learning needs and continual professional development, to improve competency, skills and knowledge.
Supports the clinical team through leave cover and is responsive to each region’s clinical needs as directed by the Manager, Clinical Services.
Maintains a safe working environment.

What You Need to Succeed
Qualifications & Registrations
Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and current practicing certificate.
Current CPR Certificate.
Current SA driver’s licence.
Satisfactory police clearance.
Skills & Experience
Nursing experience in aged and/or community care is highly desirable.
Highly developed skills in client nursing and personal care.
Possess a sound knowledge of current issues relating to the aged and community care industry.
Understanding of and commitment to continuous quality improvement
Understanding of and commitment to Work Health and Safety legislation affecting practice
Basic knowledge of and/or willingness to develop skills in, working with records and information management in an electronic environment.
Understanding and commitment to follow Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards of Practice.
Comprehensive knowledge of the ageing process and particular aged related health issues.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work without close supervision and recognise times when matters require referral.
Well developed customer relations skills and a commitment to providing quality service and implementing continuous improvement.
Well developed communication skills with the ability to relate effectively to a wide range of people.
